I am excited to be welcoming your child into 6SH next year and can’t wait to meet my new class.
I graduated from Glasgow University in 2004 and I moved to Dubai in 2011. I worked in my previous school in Dubai for 7 years before joining SCS in 2018. I am married and have 3 children, Luke, Ollie and Lucia.
In my spare time, I love to travel, play sports and spend time with my family. My favourite places to visit are Singapore and Thailand, as well returning home to Scotland to visit my family. I love playing football and golf as well as taking part in triathlons. My greatest achievement was completing the Dubai Half Iron Man in 2016. I have ambitions of trying again in 2022!
I have been teaching for 17 years now, 7 years in Scotland and 11 years in Dubai. In Dubai, I worked at Horizon English School for 7 Years and next year will be my 5th year at Safa. I have taught in Year 5 and 6 for most of those years but also have experience in Years 1 to 4. In my time in Dubai, I have been Team Leader, Maths Leader and Leader of MAGT across Primary School. In my classroom I create a safe and welcoming environment for all my children, ensuring the children are challenged at an appropriate level whilst also being confident enough to take risks and make mistakes in their learning. I love using technology within lessons and sharing my love of sport with the children.
