My name is Sophie Steen and I am delighted to have the opportunity to welcome your child to my class in Year 5 for the new Academic Year!
I am originally from the Wirral, a small town just outside of Liverpool, where I studied at university and where I have started my teaching career in 2017. I moved to Dubai in 2022 and joined Safe Community School.
I completed a Psychology degree in Liverpool before going on to complete my PGDE with Maths Specialism in 2016. Since then, I have taught in Key Stage 2 and mostly in Year 5 and Year 6. I have had experience of leading on Maths and Science throughout my career so far as these are two subjects that I am really passionate about. I have also completed my Masters in Special Needs Education to ensure my teaching is inclusive for all children. I always aim to create an engaging and happy learning environment where every child can flourish and exceed their full potential.
