My name is Farhan Ali and I am from Manchester, UK. I was awarded a PGCE in Science and completed an undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science from Bradford University.
My passion for teaching ignited during my volunteer experience at a high school in Accrington, revealing the profound influence a teacher can have on young minds. Teaching Science enables me to enhance students’ comprehension of the intricate interactions in their surroundings. I became a teacher with the goal of making a positive impact on the lives of numerous students. I am thrilled to be joining a well established Science department in Safa to continue enhancing student performance. Beyond the classroom, I am a sports enthusiast, deeply involved in football and cricket. Having played semi-professional football in the UK and I am currently playing football in Dubai too.
I am currently in my 13th year of teaching. I moved to the UAE 6 years ago, holding various leadership posts including Head of KS3 Science, Head of Faculty and a senior leadership role in Teaching and Learning. As well as Dubai, I have also worked in Qatar and the UAEi. I have held roles that include being a Lead Practitioner in Science for a high performing academy group as well as a Head of Science position.
