I am from County Mayo on the west coast of Ireland. I graduated from St. Patrick’s College Drumcondra in 2011, where I was awarded a Bachelor of Education Degree. Music was one of the key components of my college studies, and I absolutely love teaching it. I am so excited, and can’t wait to join the wonderful Music Team in Safa Community School.
I have lived in the UAE since 2015. During this time, I have had the opportunity to travel to many amazing countries and meet lots of wonderful people from all over the world. In addition to travel, another great love of mine is Music. I was immersed in music from a very young age, playing both the violin and piano and being involved in a number of choirs both in Ireland and the UAE. I also love Musical Theatre and have taken part in many productions.
I have been teaching since 2011 and I joined Safa Community School in 2019. I have taught a range of Year groups over the course of my teaching career, in Dublin, Abu Dhabi and Dubai. My passion truly lies in teaching music, and I love that I can bring this passion to life in Safa. I was immersed in Music from a young age, learning to play both the violin and piano. Coming from Ireland, I have a huge interest in Irish traditional Music and delight in playing and performing ‘tunes’ on the ‘fiddle’ and tin whistle. I also love classical music and have played the violin in a number of orchestras in Ireland. Singing is a great passion of mine and I have performed at events and competitions with choirs both in Ireland and the UAE. Musical Theatre is also a great love of mine and I have taken part in many productions and have seen many shows on stage in the West End, Broadway and in Dubai Opera.
