I graduated from Bradford School of Management with a BSc in Business Management in 2007, followed by a PGCE in Secondary Education in Business and Economics from Leeds University in 2008.
I worked in the UK as a Teacher and Head of Department for ten years, before moving to Dubai three years ago.
I am currently the head of Year 13 supporting students’ progress on to their future pathways. I am passionate about driving standards and excellence at BTEC & A-Level, ensuring all students receive personalised pathways that compliment a range of student abilities.
In my spare time I enjoy cycling, kayaking and skiing. I often try to combine sports with work through school trips. In the school holidays I have worked for PGL around Europe on school adventure camps and ski trips.
I joined Safa last year as Head of Year 13 and teacher of Business. In the UK I worked at Brighouse High School and Rodillian Academy where I taught GCSE and A-level Business, Accounting, Economics and a variety of level 2 and 3 vocational courses. I have also held a variety of pastoral roles. Throughout my career I have worked for AQA and Edexcel as an Examiner, which keeps me up to date with exam expectations to best support students.
