I graduated from the University of Westminster with a Law Degree. Although I enjoyed it, it was not something I was passionate about and could not see myself pursuing this as a career. I have always loved maths and it was my favourite subject at school. I completed a PGCE in Maths and started my teaching career.
I’m originally from London and worked for 8 years in a school in inner London before making the decision to move to Dubai. I moved to Dubai in 2015, swapping rainy days and grey skies for sunshine and warmth and it was the best decision I ever made.
Outside of school, I love eating out, cooking and painting.
Since becoming a teacher 14 years ago, I’ve gained a huge amount of teaching experience. I taught in London for 8 years where as well as a classroom teacher teaching from KS3 to KS5, my responsibilities included numeracy coordinator and KS5 coordinator. I delivered CPD sessions within the department and across the whole school. For the last 3 years, I taught at Latifa School for Girls. I feel privileged to have worked with Emirati students who aspire to become successful women of the future.
