Hello, I am Ms Stewart from the History and Geography department.
I am originally from Scotland. I graduated from Stirling University with a degree in History, Politics and Professional Education.
I have been teaching for 8 years and have taught in Scotland, Egypt and Dubai. I have been in Dubai for 4 years and teach all Key Stages.
In my spare time I enjoy travelling, going to the gym and enjoying the sunshine.
I love to learn new things and keep up to date with current affairs. My teaching philosophy is based around success and enjoyment for all pupils. I am really looking forward to meeting you all at SCS!
I was at Kings School Al Barsha for the last 4 years where I was Head of Politics. Throughout my 4 years I introduced the subject and developed it into one of the biggest A Levels subjects at Key Stage 5. I helped to run whole school Politics events and loved to increase political knowledge and participation from Year 7 to Year 13. I also ran a current affairs ECA called ‘What’s going on in the World?’ which was popular with KS3 pupils. I also ran the debate club who participated in the Dubai Debate League with other schools across the city.
