I am very excited to welcome your child to 6RM and to be the Head of Year 6 for the new academic year.
I have been living in Dubai for the past four years and during this time I have enjoyed many opportunities to travel and explore new countries and cultures.
In my spare time, I love to keep active, play Gaelic football and spend quality time with my friends. I also love outdoor adventures, particularly hiking and scuba diving.
In 2011, I obtained a BA in Geography and Irish from the National University of Ireland, Galway. Following this, I studied for my Postgraduate certificate in Education at the University of Cumbria, UK. After qualifying from my postgraduate in 2013, I spent 5 years teaching across KS1 and KS2 in both public and private schools in west London. Since moving to Dubai in 2018, I spent two years working in another outstanding school here in Dubai where I was the head of primary science. This year will be my third year at SCS and I am excited to be given the opportunity to work as Head of Year. I am really looking forward to leading a fantastic team of caring, innovative teachers and providing the highest quality of teaching and learning opportunities for all students. My aim as a teacher is to support and empower children to be resilient individuals, creative thinkers and lifelong learners. I am privileged to work in SCS and I look forward to meeting you in September and working alongside your child on their learning journey.
