Hi, my name is Rabab and I will be Second in Science this year at Safa Community School. I am so looking forward to working with the fantastic department to support the development of our budding Safa Scientists.
I graduated from King’s College London with a degree in Biomedical Science which introduced me to a broad range of areas such as anatomy, pharmacology, biochemistry, psychology and animal behaviour. I am a motivated and enthusiastic teacher who aims to inspire and engage my pupils, in the hope that they will share my passion and appreciation of science and the impact it has on the modern world. Outside of school I enjoy baking, yoga and enjoying quality time with my 8 year old son.
I have been teaching science since 2010, specialising Biology. I have worked in international schools in Dubai for 9 years now. I have experience working as part of the pastoral team as Head of Year 9, 10 and 11. More recently I have focused on leading different areas within science in roles such as KS3 coordinator, Head of Biology, and this year I will be Second in Science. Before moving to Dubai 9 years ago, I was working in London, where I taught Chemistry and Biology, and led the schools ‘thinking skills’ curriculum.
