Philip Moriarty

Head of Chemistry

Originally from Kerry, Ireland, I graduated from the University of Limerick after completing a four year degree in Biological Sciences with Chemistry and Teacher Education in 2014. I teach secondary key stages 3/4/5. In KS3/4 I teach all sciences and in KS5 I teach Chemistry and Biology. I will be Head of Chemistry at Safa from September 2021.

About Me

I worked in England for five years where I was Deputy Head of Science and Head of Chemistry, before moving to Dubai. I have been living in Dubai for three years teaching at Safa for all that time. I like to keep fit by playing Gealic football with the Dubai Celts and attend motor sport events such as the World Rally Championship.

My Experience

  • I have been teaching Science for 9 years between Ireland, England and Dubai.
  • Fourth year at Safa Community school
  • Previously held the positions of Deputy Head of Science and Head of Chemistry at my previous school in England.
  • Passionate about all sciences and sports especially football, basketball and motor racing.

I have offered ECA’s to help academic attainment and those interested in nature documentaries9
