I am delighted to have the opportunity to welcome your child to 1MA for the new academic year at SCS.
I am from Newcastle Upon Tyne which is situated in the North East of England and have been living in Dubai for the past three years. Whilst living in Dubai I have enjoyed having the privilege to be able to become friends with and meet people from all over the world. I love to travel to new countries and explore the culture of each country I visit so having the opportunity to talk to families and friends about their culture and my experiences there have been amazing.
I lead an active lifestyle and enjoy going for runs regularly, going to the gym, roller blading, horse riding, hiking the mountains around the UAE when the weather is cooler and finding new places to have food with my friends. When I am not in Dubai or exploring the world my favourite thing to do is spent time with my family and friends back in the UK.
My teaching journey began when I graduated from Northumbria University, where I received my PGCE in Primary Education. I then enjoyed 3 years teaching Foundation Stage (FS1 and FS2) in both the UK and Dubai, followed by 3 years teaching in Year 1. This year I am looking forward to continuing my Year 1 journey where I will take great pride in creating a learning environment that is welcoming, safe and fun for all. Where the children are able to engage and learn in a variety of different ways. I love to see their faces light up as they learn new things, growing in confidence and independence as they explore their learning.
