My name is Mark Tiley and I am very excited about joining the Safa family as Assistant Head Teacher. I am originally from a small, seaside town called Margate in the southeast of England and have been living in Dubai since 2014. I always wanted to be a teacher from a young age and gained a degree in Primary Education from The University of Roehampton, London.
I love living in Dubai and enjoy the many things it has to offer. The vast array of nationalities and cultures that Dubai offers is very important to me and I feel exceptionally lucky to be able to work with people from across the globe. Outside of work, I enjoy playing hockey, going running and spending time with my family and friends. I am a very positive, open-minded person and I am extremely passionate about the education of children and ensuring that they reach their full potential.
Having worked in Primary schools in the UK and Dubai, I have developed a wealth of knowledge, experience and skills that I am excited to bring to my new role. My previous leadership experience includes roles that focused on student wellbeing and pastoral care as well as holding an Assistant Principal post for the past three years. I have a passion for supporting the learning journey of students and believe that our role is to ensure we create inspired, resilient and reflective lifelong learners. I am looking forward to working with the staff, students and parents at Safa to ensure that all pupils feel valued and thrive both academically and in their lives beyond school.
