Hello everyone, my name is Marion McGuigan and I am a Primary School teacher from Belfast. I am delighted to be a part of Safa Community School and look forward to meeting you and welcoming all children to 2MM!
I enjoy socialising and being active, with a particular love for Art and Sport. I love trying and exploring new things whether it is a food, place or activity! Growing up, I achieved top awards in Northern Ireland for Art and Design and represented my country at European Netball Championships. Although I no longer play at this high level, netball is still a large passion of mine so in my spare time I enjoy coaching young players at my local netball club and playing socially with my friends. To relax, I enjoy painting when I have a little bit of time to myself!
Ever since I was little, I always wanted to be a Primary School teacher. After completing my A-Levels, I went to university to begin my 4 year teaching degree. In 2015, I graduated from Liverpool Hope University with a BA Honors in Primary Teaching with Mathematics. I then began working in an Ofsted rated Outstanding School in England where I taught for 3 years, before making my move to Dubai in August 2018. When I moved to Dubai, I began teaching Year 2 before moving to Year 4 and being appointed Head of Primary Science. I am now entering my 5th year in Dubai and I am excited to be a part of the Year 2 team at Safa Community School.
