My name is Yvan and I am a French teacher at Safa Community School. This is my first year at SCS and I am so excited to be part of this amazing team.
I am originally from Mauritius and I lived in London for 17 years before moving to the UAE. I also lived and studied in Spain for a year while I was on Erasmus.
I studied Business management and Spanish at Roehampton University and completed my PGCE as an MFL specialist at Greenwich University. I have taught French and Spanish for 8 years. I worked for 6 years in London before deciding to move to Abu Dhabi where I worked for 2 years. There,I taught French and Business studies.
In my spare time, I love to travel all around the globe. I have probably been to more than 20 countries. I enjoy going to the gym, spending time with my family and exploring new places.
IAs I mentioned above, I have worked as a teacher for 8 years where I have been teaching French, Spanish and Business Studies. Before moving to Safa, I was the Head of French in one of the schools I worked in London. I was also an exam examiner for 2 years.
My first teaching experience was in Abu Dhabi where I taught for 2 years.
