Hi, my name is Kate Glentworth and I work as a Business Studies teacher here at Safa Community School. I am from the North East of the UK from a really small town called Louth and studied a BSc in Equine Business Management at Bishop Burton College. After graduating I travelled Thailand and Australia before returning to the U.K. to complete my PGCE at Bishop Grosseteste University.
I have been living in Dubai for 3 years and have loved every moment of it. In my spare time I love to travel, CrossFit and take part in anything horsey.
I joined Safa Community School last academic year and have been teaching for the past 4 years. Prior to moving to Dubai, I taught in the U.K for a year. I am really passionate about Business Studies and how students can apply theory to real life scenarios. I believe that if you can inspire young people to achieve their full potential and to flourish in a subject that has so many career opportunities, their desire to succeed will be amazing. I encourage students to explore the topics we study outside of the classroom, preparing them for life far beyond school. For me teaching is about shaping the person they ultimately become, encouraging them and helping them to realise their full potential.
