Originally I come from the West Midlands, from a town called Solihull. I have lived in the UAE for over 11 years and I feel fortunate to call Dubai my second home
Since becoming a teacher, I have experienced a range of different cultures through travel and have recently worked for a charity called The Book Bus which is based in Livingstone. I have also worked in America and Northern Ireland and enjoy meeting new people. I love to be active! I enjoy a range of outdoor activities such as snowboarding, hiking and snorkeling in Fujairah.
I am very excited to meet you all and thrilled to be your teacher next year as we conquer our learning journey together.
Since graduating from Birmingham University, I have taught across every Key Stage in 12 primary. I have had over 11 years of experience in teaching the British Curriculum in the UK and UAE and this is my second year at SCS. As an experienced educator, I believe that effective teaching and learning comes from setting high expectations for every child as well as myself as a facilitator of their learning. Creating innovative hooks and encouraging children to ‘think outside the box’ to enrich a child’s education is a particular passion of mine.
Our class motto for this year will be: ‘Shoot for the moon even if you miss…you will land among the stars!’
