My name is Kate and I am looking forward to working with yourself and your child next year in 2KO for this academic year at SCS.
I am from the sunny south-east of Ireland (a little town called Kilmeaden, famous for its cheese) and have now been living in Dubai for four years and have being enjoying Dubai life for many years now. Whilst living in Dubai, I have had the privilege of working with people from many different nationalities, backgrounds and cultures. I have spent my summers traveling the world and discovering new places with friends and family. During my weekends in Dubai, I love to play sports and explore this magnificent country that we are so lucky to live in.
In 2013 I graduated from Sunderland University with my PGCE. Prior to this I studied ‘Early Childhood Education’ as my undergraduate degree. I lived in the North East of England and taught in a small primary school there before moving to Dubai. During my time teaching, I spent the majority of them teaching in Year 1- 3. This is my second year as part of the Safa family and it is a privilege to work with this wonderful team and school community. As a teacher I strive to create a safe learning environment which stimulates and builds on student’s curiosity and interests, whilst encouraging children to become inquisitive learners and risk takers. I am looking forward to meeting you and supporting your child through their journey in Year 2.
