I am very excited to be welcoming 6JB to the classroom in the new school year. This will be my fifth year working at SCS and fourth in Year 6. I have a lot of experience within the wider team at school and very much like working within the school community.
Outside of school, I enjoy swimming and keeping fit within and out of Dubai. This coincides with travelling, especially when visiting my home country of England, particularly in Yorkshire
I have been fortunate enough to have had volunteer work placements in Malaysia and Ecuador working with young people and children, both of which taught me many values that I have embedded into my classroom practice.
Previous to teaching in Dubai, I worked in a primary school in Leeds in the north of England. Since joining Safa Community School I have been the Science Curriculum Leader and will be progressing my role as Senior Leader of Teaching and Learning. I incorporate many classroom practices that I share with the curriculum teams in school and enjoy sharing and developing ideas with my colleagues. My classroom is a safe, fun and exploratory environment in which the children are nurtured and encouraged to progress to their full potential.
