I am from the beautiful English countryside and spent over 10 years living in London. I arrived in Dubai in 2014 and have worked at Safa for 5 years. My journey to becoming a teacher was sparked by my own wonderful Year 6 teacher, who made me believe anything was possible with grit, determination and through using my imagination! I am now in my tenth year teaching at Primary Level, having taught KS1 and KS2 within schools in London and Dubai, in addition to being the Head of English for three years.
I am very proud to be Safa’s Primary Performing Arts teacher. When teaching, I use creativity to promote a love of learning and a tool to spark imaginations, bringing learning to life. Safa’s Performing Arts lessons enable students to develop confidence and enhance oracy skills, which impacts learning in all areas of the curriculum.
In my spare time I love to travel and enjoy spending the holidays going on different adventures; this is fuelled by my passion for history and archaeology. As well as travelling, I love being at home with my family taking the dogs for walks in the countryside and visiting the beach.
I completed my PGCE at the Institute of Education in London, specialising in Drama within Education. Prior to this, I worked in schools and theatres teaching drama as well as completing a BA Hons in Drama Studies at Winchester University.
