Jervis Quinn

I am very excited to welcome your child to 6JQ for the new academic year at SCS.

About Me

I graduated from St. Mary’s University College Belfast in 2015, where I was awarded a Bachelor of Education Degree in Primary Teaching. I have lived in Dubai for three years and during this time, I have thoroughly enjoyed the culture of the UAE and travelled to many wonderful locations around the world. In my free time, I love to travel and I consider myself a very active person. Sport is a passion of mine and I am a member of the Dubai Celts Gaelic Football team. I enjoy travelling throughout the Middle East and competing against other teams. I also love languages and I love to speak and teach my native language of Ireland, ‘Gaeilge’. Recently, I began learning the guitar and I love to sing and play music with friends. I consider myself a passionate, ambitious and caring person and I cannot wait to begin a wonderful learning journey with all of the pupils in my care.

My Experience

I am very excited to begin my seventh year of teaching after graduating in 2015. Prior to moving to Dubai, I taught Year 6 for 2 years in London and also taught Year 6 in my home country of Ireland for an additional year. This year, I begin my fourth year of teaching in Dubai and my second year here at Safa. I really enjoy teaching Year 6 and my favourite subjects to teach are English and Languages. Last year, I was appointed Head of English for Year 4-6 at Safa and I am really enjoying this role. In my classroom, I strive to promote a fun and  atmosphere where my pupils are motivated and
