I am delighted to work with the children in KS1 supporting literacy and numeracy skills. I am looking forward to team teaching and working with children in focus groups throughout KS1.
I am from Dublin in Ireland and I have lived in the UAE for the past 10 years. I have two small children Zahra and Noah. We feel very lucky to live in the UAE and enjoy the different cultures and traditions here. In my spare time, I enjoy walking my two dogs and playing with Zahra and Noah. We love reading books and playing games. At the weekends, we spend lots of time at the beach and in the park. This year, we have explored lots of places in the UAE. We are looking forward to when we can go on holiday to Ireland and spend time with our family and friends back there.
I’m really looking forward to getting to know my new class and exploring our Year 2 topics together.
I completed my post graduate diploma in primary education in Ireland where I taught for 4 years. This will be my fifth year teaching in SCS, prior to this I taught at DESS and Gems Wellington Primary School. I strive to create a classroom where all children feel happy and have a sense of belonging. In our class, my aim is to engage children in their learning, give them confidence to try new things and challenge them to reach their full potential. I look forward to meeting you all and beginning our Year 2 learning journey.
