I am very lucky to be going into my fifth year here at Safa Community School come September and I am extremely excited about taking on the new role of ‘Head of Curriculum and Assessment.’
I am fortunate to have had many roles within the school over the years and have mainly taught across Key Stage 2. I have always been very passionate about the importance of providing a rich curriculum that meets the needs of all our amazing students as well as providing assessment opportunities to ensure all children are receiving a personalised learning experience.
I like to consider myself as being a very approachable person with a growth mindset inside and outside of work. I am a keen golfer and enjoy playing on the amazing golf courses that Dubai has to offer, as well as golf I enjoy playing football and supporting my local team Liverpool FC.
I have been given many opportunities to progress my career here at Safa Community School which I am very grateful for. I started as a Year 4 teacher back in 2017 and within my first year I was made Head of Science as part of the curriculum team and then Head of Primary Assessment by the start of my second year. Being part of the curriculum team and leading on primary assessment has given me the opportunity to work closely with our middle and senior leadership teams, creating a good relationship and working collaboratively to provide the best opportunities for our students. I have built a strong relationship with all of our staff over the years and enjoy working with them on a daily basis. With the experience I have gained over the years being part of the curriculum team and leading on primary assessment I am now very much looking forward to taking on the role of ‘Head of Curriculum and Assessment.’
