I am really looking forward to teaching in Year 1. I enjoy being able to bring my creativity into the classroom and encouraging children to express their artistic and imaginative side.
I grew up in the UAE, attending schools in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. As well as the UAE, I have been fortunate to also have lived in Australia, Malaysia and the UK where I am originally from. Dubai is by far my favourite place to live for the warm winters and beautiful beaches but mostly for the amazing people I have had the opportunity to meet. I love to travel to new places which is what I do at every opportunity. My favourite way to spend my weekends is exploring new breakfast spots. I love food both eating and spending my Sundays cooking different dishes for my family.
I graduated from St Mary’s University in London completing my PGCE in Primary Education. During my placements I had the opportunity to teach in Key Stage 1 and 2. I learnt I had a real passion for Key Stage 1. I have been teaching in Year 1 since 2019, it is a wonderful year group where I love seeing the children developing their Independence. I love creating a nurturing environment where each child can be celebrated for their individuality. I ensure that children feel excited to take risks in their learning and making mistakes is how we learn and grow. I cannot wait to meet you all soon and support you on your learning journey.
