I am delighted to have the opportunity to welcome your child to 1EM for the new academic year at SCS.
My name is Miss Mistry. I am originally from a little village in West Yorkshire and have been in Dubai since 2015. Every day, I am grateful for the opportunity to live and work in Dubai and to meet such a diverse and welcoming community of individuals. The many imaginative and innovative themed weeks and dress up days that we have are my highlights of the year. My favourite subjects to study are English and Math, as well as doing scientific investigations. In my spare time, I embrace my role as a mother; playing superheroes, dancing and riding roller coasters at Motiongate. I also do Yoga, Pilates, meditate and read every day!
In 2009, I graduated from Leeds Trinity and All Saints University with my Bachelor of the Arts degree in Primary Education and English. I joined Safa Community School in 2015 and have taught in both Year 1 and Year 2. As a teacher, my aim is to empower children, give them the confidence to be proud of who they are and become the best version of themselves. I strive to ensure that all children feel safe and happy in their learning environment. I provide opportunities in the classroom for the children to work creatively, independently and collaboratively in order for them to achieve their full potential. I look forward to meeting you all and beginning our journey in 1EM together.
