I am a very experienced international educator with a B. Ed (hons.) in P.E. and Sport and an MBA in Educational Management. Hopefully I am able to encourage young adults to experience the benefits of a healthy lifestyle at a time when all of the other distractions of life are tempting them away from physical activity.
I have been in Dubai since 1996 and remain a competitive triathlete; I have managed podium finishes in local events and have competed in numerous international events including Ironman Zurich. Trials at 2 professional football clubs as a young man allowed me the opportunity to represent my home city in the FA Youth Cup and my coaching qualifications allowed me to work at Reading Football Club in the UK and Arsenal Soccer School here in Dubai.
I have taught at Safa as a P.E. teacher and Head of Year since 2018. I have 39 years in international education, mostly in the Middle East, most recently as SLT / Head of Year / Head of Department in an Outstanding Dubai school Passionate about all sports, particularly football and triathlon and contributing to a wide area of sports ECA’s in particular football, basketball and volleyball.
