A little about me… I am privileged to have the opportunity to welcome your child to 4DW for the new academic year at SCS. I graduated from Chester University, UK where I studied a BA Hons in Primary Education and Teaching.
I have lived in Dubai for 6 years and have been part of the Safa family for 4 years. Whilst living in Dubai I have had the opportunity to fulfil my passion for travelling and seeing new places all around the world, taking in new experiences and cultures wherever possible. My favourite places in the World I have visited are Bali, Australia and America. Outside of teaching I lead a very active lifestyle. I am a keen Triathlete and compete at many local and International races. I enjoy racing in Ironman events around the globe. As well as triathlons, I love cycling around Al Qudra and especially up my favourite place, Jebel Jais. I enjoy eating and cooking healthy food. As well as interest in food, I have a strong love for coffee and reading books about running and cycling.
After finishing playing competitive rugby league and union I started coaching children, this is where my teaching journey started. I am excited to be starting my fourth year at Safa Community School and my sixth year teaching. As an educator I strive to create a classroom which is fun, supportive and engaging for the children. I like to create memorable learning opportunities, as well as enabling children to develop their independence and creativity. I encourage children to express themselves individually and take risks with their learning. In my classroom we always support one another and work as a team. I’m very excited to work with my previous students again and to get to know the new members of the class. I cannot wait to start our wonderful learning journey together in Year 4.
