Daniel Hatton

Hello everyone! I cannot wait to meet all of your children and welcome them into 5DH. I was born and raised just outside of London in a place called Surrey. Ever since graduating from St Mary’s University in Twickenham, United Kingdom, I have been a full time Primary School Teacher

About Me

Luckily, I have had the opportunity to work in a range of year groups and curriculums in the UK and Dubai.

As a teacher, I pride myself on creating an enjoyable and exciting environment in which everyone can learn. Integration of different subjects within lessons is a key priority of mine.

In my spare time, I love to play football, am an avid Chelsea fan and play competitively as a goalkeeper. I am a very sociable person, who thoroughly enjoys everything Dubai has to offer. From quad biking in the desert to skydiving over the Palm, I am up for any challenge.

My Experience

I am now entering my tenth year as a Primary School teacher; my third as part of the Safa Community. This will be my eighth year teaching Year 5 – I love it! I started my career teaching in the London borough of Richmond for four years, before making the move to Dubai, where I have now taught for five years. My previous roles have been: PE coordinator, Science Leader and STEAM coordinator.

This year I will be starting a new role within Safa as ‘Curriculum Integration and Social Studies Leader’. I cannot wait to start teaching your child and guiding them along their journey to becoming a lifelong learner.
