My name is Cherene Green and I am the Learning and Teaching Assistant Head.
I am from the vibrant cosmopolitan city of London in the UK. I moved to Dubai in 2014, to embark on my international career in education. I firmly believe that learning is an opportunity for all children to achieve their aspirations. The importance of personalised learning and children’s wellbeing is at the heart of my professional practice. I have been at Safa Community School for the past 4 years and have thoroughly enjoyed supporting students in their learning, developing lifelong skills and taking part in curriculum enrichment activities including the many themed dress-up days we have here at SCS. I am truly proud to be purple!
I hold a BA Hons in Education from the University of Durham and I am currently undertaking the National Professional Qualification for Headship. I have worked in education for over 20 years, teaching across the Foundation and Primary phases, working in an independent school in London, and another outstanding school in Dubai. I have held a variety of leadership roles including, Head of Science, Head of PSHE, Head of Year and Head of EYFS. I am passionate about child-centred education and believe in laying foundations for independent study, the ability to problem solve and providing children with an understanding of the world of today and their role within it.
