I completed my BSc in Psychology in Liverpool John Moores University and went onto complete my PGCE in Psychology in 2011. I have 10 years teaching experience in the UK and Dubai. I have also completed 4 years working as an examiner for the AQA Psychology specification.
Due to the subject of Psychology, the majority of my teaching experience is related to GCSE and A-Level students, this has allowed myself to be involved with running student leadership, complete UCAS references and being head of house. I am very competitive so love to be involved in whole school completions. Throughout my teaching career I have had a plethora of roles which has allowed me to share my love of learning using a variety of platforms. I recently was a guest speaker at a global education conference on how to use technology effective in the classroom. I have recently completed a NPQSL at UCL university and graduated in July.
This will be my first year at Safa community school as I move here to fulfil the role of Head of Psychology from another school in Dubai after completing four years there. In my previous job I was also the lead practitioner for science and played a role in whole school teaching and learning, with a key focus on innovation and the digital classroom. Before coming to Dubai I worked in an inner city school in Liverpool, England. Here I had the opportunity to work with students from a variety of backgrounds and gained invaluable experience. I have also worked as an examiner and marked psychology papers for four years. Most recently I have completed a NPQSL into the field of SEN and the adapted curriculum and graduated UCL in July. This year will be my 11th year in the profession.
