I am an experienced Science Teacher of 10 years and Specialist in Biology with a BSc in Sports Science, PGCE in Science with M.Ed, Child Protection level one, two and three qualifications, coaching colleagues qualifications, previous facilitator of the Outstanding Teaching Programme and currently completing the National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership (NPQSL).
As Head of Key Stage 4, I am passionate about driving standards and excellence at BTEC & GCSE, ensuring all students receive personalised pathways that compliment a range of student abilities. My philosophy as a Biology teacher is to help students form connections and feel the biological world that surrounds them, from the smallest of molecules to the largest of ecosystems. I have been in Dubai for the last four years and I am passionate about Athletics and Dance. In my spare time I dance Ballroom and Latin for a Dance Company in Dubai.
I have taught at Safa Community School for the last four years, joining the school in 2017. In my previous school of six years in Warwickshire, I was the assistant Head of Science, KS4 Coordinator and PGCE mentor for NQTs. I was also selected for the Outstanding Teacher programme (OTP) where I learned to train and facilitate outstanding teachers throughout Warwickshire. At SCS, the ECAs I like to offer are the Science learning centre for KS3 students where students can experiment and run their own practical investigations and Biology intervention for KS4 students.
