Science stimulates and excites pupils’ curiosity about events and things in the world around them. It also satisfies this curiosity with knowledge. Because Science links direct practical experience with ideas, it can engage learners at many levels. Scientific method is about evaluating explanations through experimental evidence and modelling.
Teaching and learning in Science reflects our belief that children have a natural sense of awe and wonder in the world around them. We aim to provide the children with a science knowledge base, and encourage them to ask questions, make predictions and then to test these in order to discover more about the world around them.
